These are the commands that are needed for validating if  your resource is ready to be committed to the migration.

 

Storage Account:

#Login to your Azure Resource Manager Account

Login-AzureRmAccount

# Lists the Subscriptions under Azure Resource Manager

Get-AzureRMSubscription | Sort Name | Select Name

# Selects and sets your subscription name for the current session

Select-AzureRmSubscription –SubscriptionName “your subscription name”

# Change your subscription name

# Log into your Azure Serivce Manager Account

Add-AzureAccount

# Lists the subscriptions under Azure Services Manager

Get-AzureSubscription | Sort SubscriptionName | Select SubscriptionName

#Selects and sets your subscription name for the current session

Select-AzureSubscription –SubscriptionName “your subscription name”

# Sets the storage account name in vairable $storageAccountName

$storageAccountName = “your portal name”

# Sets the validation in the vairable $store and the storage account name in vairable

$storageAccountName

$store = Move-AzureStorageAccount -Validate -StorageAccountName

$storageAccountName

# Sets the store vairable to validation Messages and out puts the file

$store.ValidationMessages | Out-File c:\whatever.txt

As we had remote desktop endpoints I waited until a few hours until before the migration to remove these.
